Why does this site exist?
This site is a tool to help journalists, scholars, event organizers, and everyone else identify women who are experts on a wide range of topics within Mormon Studies.
How do I sign up?
Please click on “Register as an Expert” above. We’ll ask you for your name and email address, and then we’ll send you a link to your personalized profile. You can edit it and update it at any time.
I submitted my name and email address, but I haven’t received a link. What’s going on?
Hmm, you should have received an email from us. Please check your spam folder just in case. If you don’t find an email from womeninmormonstudies, try going back to the initial registration page and click on the link at the bottom to have your link sent to you again. If that doesn’t work, please contact us.
I signed up. Why am I not listed?
You may not have completed your expert registration. Please follow your personalized link and fill in your information, then click the “Submit” button at the bottom of the page. If your profile is still not showing up by 24 hours after you submit your registration, please contact us.
I signed up and completed my registration. How do I update my profile, now that it has been submitted?
No problem! Just use your personalized link to access your profile and update it.
I want to edit my profile, but I lost my personalized link. Now what?
No problem! Just return to the initial registration page and click on the link at the bottom to have your link sent to you again.
I did not sign up on this website, but I am listed in your database. What’s going on?
Women in Mormon Studies only allows people to sign themselves up. If you have been listed without your knowledge, please accept our apologies, and please contact us.
How do I delete my profile?

I know a scholar who should be listed but doesn’t appear to be in your database. Can I sign her up?
Please share the Women in Mormon Studies database with your friends and colleagues, but PLEASE DO NOT sign other people up for the database.
I want to find an expert in a field other than Mormon Studies. Where should I go?
Women in Mormon Studies is inspired by Women Also Know Stuff, a database of women experts in political science, and Women Also Know History, a database of women historians. You can find a list of similar resources for help in locating women, people of color, and LGBTQ+ scholars on the Women Also Know Stuff “Related Initiatives” page.
